    Randomized human clinical trial

    NOVOS Core is one of the only longevity supplements ever evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial measuring biomarkers of cardiovascular aging.

    Why this matters

    Most supplement studies measure proxy biomarkers in blood tests. The NOVOS Core clinical trial instead measured direct physiological functions of the cardiovascular system — reflecting how well it is actually functioning, not just biochemical markers.

    FMD

    Flow-mediated dilation

    Measures endothelial function and blood vessel circulation capacity, which declines with age. NOVOS Core improved FMD by 2.9%. 1% is considered clinically meaningful.*

    PWV

    Pulse wave velocity

    Measures the flexibility of blood vessels, which declines with age. NOVOS Core improved PWV by –1.18 m/s. Epidemiological studies find PWV increases by ~+1 m/s per decade of aging.*

    SBP

    Systolic blood pressure

    Measures blood pressure, which increases with age. NOVOS Core improved blood pressure already within the normal range by 6.1 mmHg. 2-3 mmHg improvements in SBP are considered clinically meaningful.*

    Improvements in endothelial function were observed both immediately after the first dose (1 hour) and sustained after six months of supplementation, suggesting NOVOS Core has both immediate and long-term biological effects.

    Primary Endpoint

    FMD: The study's primary endpoint

    Flow-mediated dilation (FMD) measures the ability of blood vessels to expand in response to increased blood flow — a key indicator of endothelial health and vascular function.

    NOVOS Core significantly improved FMD both acutely (within 1 hour) and after 6 months of daily use, while the placebo group showed no meaningful change.

    Age-equivalent ranges are descriptive comparisons based on published reference values for flow-mediated dilation (FMD) in healthy populations (Holder et al., 2021; Maruhashi et al., 2020). Values may vary by methodology and individual characteristics. Acute and longer-term measurements reflect different physiological states.

    This study did not assess clinical outcomes. These results do not imply diagnosis, treatment, cure, prevention of disease, or reduction in disease risk.

    Why cardiovascular aging matters

    Cardiovascular aging is one of the most important biological drivers of lifespan and healthspan.

    Declines in endothelial function, decreased arterial flexibility, and rising blood pressure are strongly associated with aging and long-term health outcomes.

    Improving these systems is therefore considered a key target in longevity research.

    Why combination formulas must be tested

    A large study in Switzerland tested many combinations of longevity ingredients and measured their effects on animal lifespan. The results were surprising.
